I went to Campitello Di Fassa in September 2011. It is a small town in the North of Italy near Canazei in the Dolomites. The region has a nice mixture of the 'clean' Austria culture and the 'tasty' Italian culture. Great cheese, ice cream, beer, hams, pizza, expresso,... and some beautifull nature. Besides paragliding or flying delta you can also hike, climb or ride the mountainbike in this wonderfull valley. We stayed one week on a local camping called 'Miravelle'. Its really amazing to wake up every morning with a view on the Sassolungo.
A verry large ski carousel, just near the landing brings you up every 15 minutes and drops you off just on the start, how easy can it be. Best wind directions here are S and SW, which we have had a whole week together with a max temperature of 30°C every day. Those great conditions made us to fly every day and let me do my best Cross flight ever, (see below) to the top of the Marmolada. During pre and mid summer it can be very turbulent especially during the early afternoon, better periods are end of August and the beginning of September.
